How to Measure
A: Chest
Measure the fullest part of your child's chest by wrapping the tape loosely around their chest circumference. Ensure that the tape is level, and that your child is standing in a straight, natural posture.
Please ensure you measure to the nearest 16th of an inch or 10th of a centimeter.
B: Waist
Measure the smallest part of your child's waist by wrapping the tape loosely around their circumference. This is usually right above belly button. Ensure that the tape is level, and that your child is standing in a straight, natural posture.

C: Hips
Measure the fullest part of your child's hips by wrapping the tape loosely around their hip circumference. Ensure that the tape is level, and that your child is standing straight with both feet together.

D: Head
Measure slightly above the eyebrows by wrapping the tape loosely around your child's head circumference. Ensure that the tape is level, and that their hair is how it will be worn underneath The Duchess Hat.

E: Hollow of Neck to Belly Button
Place your tape at the top of your child's sternum / bottom of neck hollow and measure straight down to the center of the belly button. Ensure that your child is standing in a straight, natural posture.

F: Belly Button to Top of Knee
Place your tape at the center of your child's belly button and measure straight down to the top of your child knee cap. Ensure that your child is standing in a straight, natural posture with both feet together.

G: hollow of neck to floor
Place your tape at the top of your child's sternum / bottom of neck hollow and measure straight down to the center of the floor. Ensure that your child is standing in a straight, natural posture.

H: Top of Shoulder to Floor
Place your tape at the topmost portion of your child's shoulder, a little ways from the edge. Allow the tape to round the front of your child’s shoulder and guide the tape to the floor. Ensure that your child is standing in a straight, natural posture without shoes.

How to Find Your Child's Shoulder to Floor Measurement
Please use the pictures to the right as a guideline to find your child’s shoulder to floor measurement, and ensure your child is barefoot before beginning this process.
step one
Place your measuring tape at the topmost portion of your child’s shoulder, a little ways in from shoulder edge as shown.
step two
From this point allow the tape to round the front of your child’s shoulder and guide the tape to the floor.
step three
Following the tape from “top of shoulder” placement, take note of the measurement where the tape meets the floor. Please ensure you measure to the nearest 16th of an inch or 10th of a centimeter.
